Tour Plan

DAY 1: ON ARRIVAL AT PHUENTSHOLING

Welcome to Bhutan. Upon arrival in Jaigaon, you will be traditionally greeted by the tour executives for travel to  Bhutan. Today you will do the immigration formalities and see Phuentsholing town. Phuentsholing is a border town in  southern Bhutan, and is the administrative seat of Chukha District. It lies opposite the Indian town of Jaigaon and cross  border trade has resulted in a thriving local economy. Phuentsholing had a population of 28,000 as of 2017 and has  been growing since then. DAY 2: PHUENTSHOLING TO THIMPHU

Today, you will do an acclimatizing drive to Thimphu, from 300M foothills upto 2300M inner Himalaya’s region. The  Kingdom’s capital city is home to approximately 114,000 inhabitants including the Royal family. This bustling little city  is the main centre of commerce, religion and government in the country. The juxtaposition of ancient tradition and  modernity make Thimphu the ideal location for visitors to break away from their tour itinerary to immerse themselves  in the contemporary Bhutanese lifestyle. After reaching Thimphu we will check in hotel. Evening stroll market and  overnight stay.

DAY 3: EXPLORE THIMPHU

Today, after breakfast, we will visit Thimphu famous places such as:

  • National Memorial Chorten
  • Takin Preserve Centre
  • National Library
  • National textile museum
  • Buddha point
  • Painting school
  • Tashichho Dzong
  • Simply Bhutan.

DAY 4: THIMPHU TO PUNAKHA

After breakfast, we will drive to Punakha via Dochula pass. Punakha local sightseeing like

  • Punakha Dzong,
  • Chhimi Lhakhang,
  • Suspension Bridge.
  • River Rafting

DAY 5: PUNAKHA TO PARO

In the morning if interested, enjoy the rafting over the female river of Punakha. And drive towards Paro. Paro Valley – The beautiful valley is home to many of Bhutan’s old monasteries and temples. The country’s only Airport is in Paro.  The valley is also home to mount Jhomolhari (7,300 meters) situated at the northern end of the valley whose glacier  water forms the Paachu flowing through the valley. The following are some of the prominent places to visit in Paro.

  • Paro Dzong
  • Kyichu Lhakhang
  • Drukgyel dzong
  • National museum

DAY 6: PARO – THE TIGER’S NEST HIKE

Guru Padmasambhava (referred in Bhutan as the second Buddha), who has introduced Buddhism in Bhutan has landed  on the back of a tigress in the 8th century and meditated in the cave where tiger’s nest main temple perched now.  Today, you will do a hike to the most recognised spot in Bhutan. It will be around 4.5 miles medium level hike with  elevation escalation of 900M from Paro Valley. Your guild will do hiking tips and brief you one day prior to the hike.  After that we will proceed to sight see places such as

  • Taktsang Monastery

DAY 7: PARO TO PHUENTSHOLING

In the morning, after breakfast we will drive to Phuentsholing with some stop over on the way and check in at the  hotel. After that we can visit some places like

  • Karbandi Monastery
  • Zangthopelri Lhakhang
  • Amo Chhu Suspension Bridge

DAY 8: DEPART PHUENTSHOLING TO BAGDOGRA

We will bid fond farewell to this beautiful Himalayan country and take an early drive back to Bagdogra. We hope by  now you would have made some friends and also kept many photos and beautiful memories of Bhutan! And we look  forward to seeing you again in this beautiful land of endless Enchantments!
